THE FEATURES OF "THE STYLE MODERN" IN THE OPERA "THE GOLDEN COCKEREL" BY RIMSKY-KORSAKOV.

N.A. Rimsky-Korsakov was working at his opera «The Golgen Cockerel» in the period when «the style modern» was spreading in art culture. The main features of the style modern were described D.V. Sarabyeyanov work «Style modern» in which the manifestation of art principles of the style modern were examined. In the field of musical art «the style modern» was studied in the work of I.S. Skvortsova «The style modern in Russian musical art at the turn of the XIX-XX centuries» and N.I. Degtyareva «FransSchreker´soperas and modern» in musical theatre of Austria and Germany. The combination features or «the style modern» are the refesal from straight lines and angles, the use of «serpantine» lines, sea waves, plant brading forms, ornamentation, locks of women´s hair, the unity of the world of the living world and inanimate world, connection of reality and conventionality the principle of «double frame», figure of a swan, motifs of an island, a double, a garden, a reflection, a kiss, cult of decoration, beauty, a vividness, a diversity, the image of femme fatale, eroticism, the struggle between the male or female, a dance, the youth theme. All the mentioned features are reflected in Rimsky-Korsakov´s operas with different degree of fullness. In Skvortsova´s monograph the manifestation of these features are examined in melody, rhythm, harmony, texture. Only the question to what extent «the style modern» influence the orchestration of the opera «The Golden Cockerel» in not illuminated in scientific works.
