INFORMING OF CITIZENS ABOUT THE COMPETENCE OF THE AUTHORITIES

This article deals with the problem of inefficient interaction between citizens and local authorities. Particular attention is paid to legal illiteracy of the population, which consists in the fact that a significant number of requests are sent to the incompetent authorities. These requests should be redirected and as a result decision of questions which excite citizens is delayed. These applications are due to be readressed, which causes delays in settling the issues the citizens are interested in and ineffective usage of public servants´ working timeThe article suggests a method for improving inform the population about the competence of the authorities, which is to improve information and communication Web sites. Introduction and modernization of of blocks "Feedback", "E-reception", "E-municipality" should provide easy access for citizens to the necessary resources and information, and increase the effectiveness of interaction between society and local authorities, improve of public trust in the activities of municipal employees.
