Food industry - is the production of finished or semi-finished food products , as well as tea , soap , tobacco products and detergents. In the agro-industrial sector food industry is closely linked with the raw material supplier - agriculture - and trafficking , which sells products and intermediates. Driving force of the industry - is the creation of new technologies. It helps to create a better technical basis to justify economically correct processes . Technical progress , moving forward production processes food industry relies on a huge amount of research , design and engineering organizations . Food processing factories employed an enormous number of experts. The multiple branches of the food industry in the system of social production is determined primarily by the fact that their products are designed for the reproduction of the main productive force of society - labor. The important role of the food industry lies in the fact that it facilitates domestic work ; being factory food production in prepackaged form , reduce labor trade workers , while consumers on purchasing products.
