A review and systematization of the main data of the literature on modern drugs with prostateprotectors action was made, presented current classification of prostateprotectors action mechanisms (hormonal and antihormonal drugs, testosterone-5α-reductase inhibitors, α1-adrenoreceptor antagonists), of producing sources (phytoprostateprotectors, cloth organic drugs of animal origin), presents the main allopathic, homeopathic and parapharmaceutical prostatetrope preparats, the most popular in Ukraine and abroad.
