THE WAYS TO IMPROVE THE QUALITY OF PATIENT’S LIFE WITH MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS

Multiple sclerosis is a chronic autoimmune disease that affects the myelin sheath of nerve fibers of the brain and the spinal cord. MS affects more than 2.5 million people worldwide , mostly women . Its cause is unknown, but the disease provoke some infections, and lack of vitamin D. In multiple sclerosis T- lymphocytes penetrate the blood-brain barrier into the brain and upper parts of spinal cord , causing inflammation and loss of myelin neurons. Treatment of multiple sclerosis has not yet been developed , however , it is already possible to prevent aggravation of the disease , alter the course of disease and alleviate the symptoms . Recently taken serious steps to successful drug therapy for multiple sclerosis
