The article introduced the concept of competitiveness engineer and designed the structure of competitiveness engineer in mechanical engineering. Competitiveness engineer - a set of professional ( self-education , planning , monitoring , work with technical documentation ) , economic ( the skills of innovation , forecasting, product liability ) , personality ( self-reliance, responsibility, creativity , the need for success , reflection ) and social (environmental , communicative responsibility for the consequences of ) competences to substantiate and make effective decisions in professional activities , able to adequately assess the results and impact of their activities and those of colleagues who can adapt quickly to changes in the surrounding world .
