PRINCIPLES OF POSTMINIMALISM IN LUDOVICO EINAUDI’S FILM SCORES. STUDY OF SOUNDTRACK TO FILM «INTOUCHABLE».

This article discusses the biography and work of Italian composer LudovicoEinaudi, and peculiarities of compositional techniques in the composer’s film scores. In his works Einaudi uses principles originated from postminimalism: diatonics, repetitiveness, patterns, additivity, etc. The paper traces the interaction between musical and visual arrangement in film "Intouchable" by analyzing soundtracks «Fly» and «UnaMattina». Moreover, the article reveals the points of interpenetration between popular culture and classical music.
