This article is devoted to the history of the imperial Tsarskoselsky garages in the city of St. Petersburg. Imperial garage - one of the first buildings in Russia, intended for cars. Nicholas II was a great lover of cars, so in 1906 near his residence, he built the first building of the Imperial garage. The author of the project was a prominent architect S.A.Danini. The building was built in an English cottage style with elements fachwerk. Two years later in 1908 by architect VA Lipsky It was to build a second two-storey building in modern style. It is located a garage Residence chief technical service and personal chauffeur Nicholas II. Since the imperial garage quickly grew, and the palace of the transplanted elite coaches in luxury cars, once again there was an urgent need for its expansion.
