To the alternative energy products today are showing interest wide circles of the population, and it is quite understood: in recent years the world prices for oil and gas has increased several times, and thus becoming more expensive and gasoline, and fuel oil, and electricity, followed them - and everything else without exception. Experts advocate a transition in the medium term, alternative energy sources, which are renewable sources of energy - Sun, wind, biomass, ocean surf, and the like. There is another very promising, though not a renewable energy source methane from the seabed: seabed storing large amounts of methane! True, he is there in the associated form is in the form of solid hydrates. However, about the mechanism of origin of these hydrates, i.e. compounds of methane with water, opened about 35 years ago, scientists still don´t know much. Yet one thing is clear - that the formation of hydrates of methane occurs under the influence of high pressure and low temperature, i.e. under conditions typical of the ocean depths.
