Heat exchangers (heat exchangers) are devices designed to transfer heat from one fluid (coolant) to the other. The fluids may be gaseous, liquid and solid. Heat exchangers have different purposes: they can be the processes of heating, cooling, boiling, condensation, melting, solidification, as well as complex thermochemical processes – evaporation, distillation, polymerization, vulcanization, and many others.
