This article discusses one of the most urgent problems of modern reality - the development of communicative competence of students. Society needs competent and active professionals who are capable of autonomous decision-making, able to offer original ideas and lead others along. Communicative competence is an important component in the structure of the leadership position of young people. The author examines the possibility of developing communicative competence through social and psychological training.
