To the present time in the Republic of Kazakhstan revealed about 40 deposits of silicate and oxide Nickel ores, representing industrial interest. Ores contain an average of 1.4 % of Nickel, and in some areas up to 1,5-3,0 %. From the Kazakhstani fields, ore is now processed in the Russian Federation. Organization of own industrial production of Nickel from existing in Kazakhstan significant amount of Nickel ore is undoubtedly an urgent task.
Thus, the study of thermodynamic modeling of the distribution of elements in the system NiO-CoO-Fe2O3-C using software complex «Astra 4» are new and represent the scientific novelty to obtain commercial ferronickel by electro-thermic processing of oxidized Nickel ores and represent the practical significance for the economy and metallurgical industry in Kazakhstan as a whole.
