THE PEACEKEEPING POTENTIAL: COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF RUSSIA AND FRANCE

Modern peacekeeping regarded as one the most important elements of national and collective security of many countries, who want to stabilize the situation in the world´s trouble spots. In this article, the author analyzes the peacekeeping activities of the two countries - France and Russia. Both of them have impressive military forces, but are involved in peacekeeping in different volumes and levels. Based on the analysis of a number of sources, the author gives conclusions about the reasons for a different approach to peacemaking in these states.
