In article it is considered – a current state, problems and prospects of development of small and medium business in Russia. Problems of development of small forms of business. Today the Russian small business is concentrated on advance of production of foreign producers and doesn´t work for innovative development of domestic economy. Small business is a component of the developed economy. It has to carry out a number of functions which allow economy to develop harmoniously. Small business is the conductor of effective innovations in mass production.
