ABOUT THE PERSPECTIVES OF THE RUSSIAN IDENTITY

The task for the construction of the Russian Nation, which has been declared by the Russian leadership, supposes producing of the coherent popular consciousness and identity. Using means of semiotic analyzes, one can see some principal features of the Russian authorities approach. At the core of their phraseology lays the vision for a new civilization unity. Such process indeed would probably neutralize negative impacts of the globalization on the Russian society, preserving it from the disintegration, providing civic unity and state sovereignty. But tendencies in complicated social reality are rather opposite to the aims declared. Perhaps only controversial influence of traditional cultural patterns and values on economical and political trends may change the vector of dangerous for the Russian social integrity developments.
