Postmodern is largely a reaction to the worldview that dominated in the West throughout the New Age. The phenomenon of postmodern can be seen as a manifestation of the postindustrial world, whose livelihoods and history are caused by changes in technology, economy, society, and culture. These changes occurred during the second half of the XX century, they have largely determined the surrounding reality as well as the inner world of human being. Postmodern is represented by a wide range of different in their focus ideological currents. Their representatives are aware of the large number of alternative ways of thinking, world perception, and human self-determination. Postmodern Era posed questions that can not be resolved within the framework of existing paradigms. This article attempts to explore the postmodern basic settings in the context of social historical discourse during the second half of the 20th century.
