Modern person’s dominant mood in relation to cosmic and human aspects of the universe is alienation. Alienation, disunity in small and large social groups both, as well as in society as a whole, led to the loss of certain spiritual centers of human being. Returning to deep roots, to eternal Being, awareness of new and boundless freedom overcome the feeling of alienation. Being free from self-centeredness and its endless passion, human becomes the master of his own destiny, instead of being a slave to his Ego. His ethical behavior becomes spontaneous and altruistic. The achievement of own Self in the process of individuation, i.e. reintegration of psychic instinctive and spiritual poles, promotes the experience of deep belonging to all the Being, as well as perception of the world as a whole, harmonious picture. K.G. Jung considered reintegration to be the necessary condition of spiritual, social, ethical and political problems solving. This paper focuses on the analysis of Jungian concept of the Self in the context of the Eastern religious philosophical teachings.
