MODERN TERRITORIAL DEVELOPMENT OF SLATE DEPOSITS IN THE WORLD

One of the most important tendencies observable now in oil-extracting branch, decrease in extraction of easy oil and oil of average density is. Reduction of stocks of traditional oil compels the oil companies to pay the increasing attention to alternative sources of hydrocarbons. One of such sources, alongside with heavy oil and natural bitumens, combustible slates are. Their existing volumes it is much more, than the open oil stocks. In article territorial development of slate hydrocarbons are considered. The assessment of technically taken stocks of slate gas is resulted. Possible consequences and threats are considered on an example of the largest deposits of slate gas. Planned projects on extraction of slate oil in Russia are shown. The largest number of the incidents connected with extraction of slate gas in various states of USA is listed.
