Modern data about the mechanism of action, particularly pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics, pharmacological effects and clinical features of applications drug Propofol as the non-inhalation agent with general anesthetic with a sedative effects presented in this article. Short history of the creation of this drug. Considered the application of the schemes on the main clinical indications in clinical practices of doctor-anaesthetist to ensure rational general anesthesia for the surgical and diagnostic procedures in patients of different ages.
