Article covers the basics of creating a favorable investment climate at the regional level. Relevance of research associated with the need to solve important tasks such as scientific justification to improve the mechanism of formation of the investment climate in the region. The article discusses approaches to the assessment of investment attractiveness, factors and methodology for assessing the investment climate, suggestions for improvement of regional policies and measures to stimulate investment in the region.
